Amy Szilagyi
Amy M. Szilagyi graduated from the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1999). Before law school, Ms. Szilagyi served as a Compliance Officer and Auditor in the banking industry. She is a Certified Internal Auditor and a graduate of the American Bankers’ Association National Compliance School She has a background in business and accounting, having passed the CPA Examination and having a degree in accounting from the University of Dayton (B.S., magna cum laude, 1993).
Prior to joining Verde Law Office in 2004, Ms. Szilagyi practiced law with the firm of Warner Norcross & Judd, P.C. Her practice focuses on business and contract matters, real estate, estate planning, and bankruptcy.
Ms. Szilagyi forms limited liability companies and corporations and represents a number of closely held businesses. She routinely drafts and negotiates a variety of contracts related to business and real estate, including such things as Real Estate Purchase Agreements, Mortgages, Deeds, Grants of Easement, Leases, Supply Agreements, Shareholder Agreements, Terms of Sale and Purchase, Stock and Asset Purchase Agreements, and Security Agreements. Her estate planning services include traditional estate plans (wills, durable powers of attorney, and patient advocate designations for medical decisions), as well as more complex plans (revocable “living” trusts and irrevocable grantor trusts).
Ms. Szilagyi lives in Holland with her husband and two children. She served as a member of the Hospice of Holland Professional Advisory Board in 2002 and 2003. She is also a 2002 graduate of “Leadership Holland.”
